The fit we hope to find 

The Sales Director is a senior B2B sales role. We are looking for a confident, internationally focused and Chinese-speaking Strategic Account Director to drive our sales and strategic successes and lead the way for further expanding our footprint in China.


What you'll do

  • Acquiring, managing and growing our strategic accounts with end-to-end responsibility, including some of the largest retailers and shoe brands in the world.
  • Selling our solutions to new prospects: actively finding new leads and convert them into new future key accounts.
  • Growing our solution base with existing key accounts of SafeSize.
  • Advising leadership members of our customers/prospects on customer journeys and how to improve retail KPIs through our solutions.
  • Working with customers and colleagues on successful onboarding of new customers (pilots) and monitor ongoing client satisfaction after implementation.
  • Expand and lead the sales team in Shanghai, as SafeSize continues to grow.
  • Collaborate closely with your SafeSize colleagues at Customer Success, Operations, Development and Product, who work from our offices in the China as well as the Netherlands, Slovenia and Greece.

Job requirements

  What you bring:

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in technology / complex solutions
  • A deep understanding of and strong network in omni-channel and online retailing and decision makers in footwear and sport
  • Experience in both business development and account management
  • The capability to discuss at strategic level with senior decision makers
  • A can-do mentality, with a strong service mindset
  • Excellent skills to build and maintain professional relations

Who you are:

  • An energetic and experienced sales or account manager, who loves to lead the consultative selling of our technical solutions with prospects and existing key accounts (SaaS, hardware, integrations and customizations).
  • An excellent communicator, fluent in both English and Chinese.
  • A team player who thrives in cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
  • A born traveler, who gets energy from visiting our customers and is willing to devote 20-30% of the time on this.
  • A curious individual with the drive to acquire skills, to provide and receive feedback and to develop yourself.
  • An ambitious professional, with the drive to grow in the role and the company significantly, as SafeSize continues to grow.
