Job description

What we do

No matter if you’re the biggest sports fanatic, have a “minor” shoe addiction, or simply own one trusted pair of sneakers, you know that finding the “perfect” shoe can be surprisingly challenging. At SafeSize, we make that choice simple and precise. We help people in over 70 countries around the world find the perfect fitting shoes, every single time. Using advanced 3D foot scanning technology and the world’s largest database of 3D-scanned shoes, we enable better footwear choices. We also design and manufacture customized footwear products that enhance comfort, boost performance and promote sustainability.

Our mission is to empower people to do what they love – whether it’s running a marathon, dancing all night or simply going for a stroll in the park – with maximum comfort and confidence.  As an employer, we live by the same philosophy. We foster a supportive, hands-on environment where people can learn, grow, and take ownership, while contributing to meaningful, technology-driven innovation.

The fit we hope to find

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a fabrication setup.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with physical objects and machines, can stay focused on repetitive tasks, and takes responsibility for keeping work moving throughout the day. You should be comfortable following defined instructions, while also being able to notice when something is not working as expected, communicate it clearly and help update the process.

This role is a good fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys practical, hands-on work rather than desk-only tasks

  • Is comfortable being physically present in the office and actively running equipment

  • Can work independently once shown a process, with minimal supervision

  • Pays close attention to detail and consistency

  • Is patient and methodical when working with tools and materials

  • Is motivated by seeing tangible results from their work

Beyond daily fabrication tasks, this role offers exposure to evolving 3D printing technologies and workflows. You will work closely with the engineering team, learning how printing parameters, materials, and finishing steps affect the final product, and contributing ideas on how existing processes can be improved and made more efficient over time. The core of this role is keeping footwear product printing and finishing running consistently throughout the working day.

You do not need prior experience with footwear printing specifically; however, you should already have some hands-on experience with 3D printers and related software, and be willing to learn and adapt as processes evolve.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of footwear products fabrication, including:

  • Running 3D printers throughout the day: starting print jobs, monitoring prints, removing parts, and preparing printers for the next run;

  • Loading and managing provided G-code files according to defined workflows;

  • Identifying and resolving common printing issues independently (e.g. material issues, failed prints);

  • Performing basic printer care and upkeep (cleaning build plates, handling materials, keeping printers operational);

  • Working with 3D printing and preparation software to review files, prepare prints, and support basic adjustments as needed;

  • Cutting top-cover materials using provided tools and equipment;

  • Finishing footwear assembling by using a glue gun and other hand tools, trimming, packaging etc.;

  • Following step-by-step production instructions and repeating processes consistently to maintain quality;

  • Using internal software tools to handle basic order and production-related tasks;

  • Communicating issues, observations, or recurring problems clearly to the engineering team; and

  • Over time, supporting knowledge sharing by documenting processes and helping onboard or train other operators as production expands.

Job requirements

What you bring

  • Availability to work in a fully on-site, production-based environment at our Athens office

  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing (professional, academic, or hobbyist)

  • Comfort starting, monitoring, and recovering failed prints independently, while following defined processes consistently

  • Familiarity with 3D printing slicing software and willingness to learn footwear-related preparation or modeling tools

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ease learning and working with internal software tools used for production and order handling

  • Confidence working with hand tools and carrying out manual finishing tasks (gluing, cutting, trimming)

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency

  • Fluent communication in both Greek and English is required
